Job Description
The Labor and Delivery PSC II serves as a central information source on the inpatient Labor and Delivery Unit, interacting with patients, families, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Registration: Manage patient registration, including data entry and verification of demographic information.
* Admission/Discharge Coordination: Coordinate patient admissions and discharges, ensuring timely processing and accuracy of records.
* Visitor Screening: Screen visitors to ensure compliance with hospital policies and maintain a secure environment.
* Support to OB Staff: Provide administrative support to obstetric staff, including answering phones, handling mail, and preparing documents.
Administrative Duties:
* Scheduling: Coordinate scheduling for OB staff, including appointment management and calendar maintenance.
* Patient Billing: Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical records.
* Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient charts and hospital reports.
