MACA Interquip Mintrex is a division of MACA Ltd and is a multi-disciplinary company with a proven track record in delivering small to large scale EPC and EPCM projects for the resources sector specializing in the design and construction of mineral processing facilities for clients across Australia.
About the Role
As a Senior / Lead Designer, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of complex mining and industrial projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing facility layouts, including conveyors, equipment, and platework.
- Producing 3D models and detailed engineering drawings from concept through to detailed design, either under direction or as a design lead.
- Providing technical input and design support to project teams.
- Applying and promoting safe design practices across all design stages.
- Reviewing drawings for accuracy and compliance with MACA Interquip Mintrex standards.
- Supporting project delivery by managing timelines, design efficiency, and alignment with client expectations.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal design systems and adopting new tools and techniques.
- Assisting across Structural, Mechanical, Civil and Piping design work as needed.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a skilled and collaborative designer with:
- An Advanced Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in a design, consultancy, or operational environment.
- Proficiency in 3D design tools such as AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Navisworks, or similar.
- Experience in mining and heavy industry (highly regarded).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Leadership experience or the ability and interest to step into a lead role.
