About the role
Exclusive opportunity for a Mechanical Shift Fitter to join our team at our Oxley site. You will be working on 4 days on (6am - 6pm) and 4 off.
Your role is responsible for providing effective support in the preventative maintenance and repair of the production line, ensuring the achievement of factory production targets.
Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:
* Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory and shutdown maintenance.
* Ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence.
* Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory
* Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous: welding (MIG, TIG)
* Understanding on Condition monitoring and use of maintenance management system SAP.
* Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory.
* Adhere to safe work practices and take steps to identify hazards and report incidents.
What you bring to the role
* Mechanical trade license or similar (Fitter/turner, Boilermaker, Plant mechanic, HV Diesel Mechanic) that has previous experience as a Fitter within a manufacturing environment
* Previous exposure within industrial manufacturing with routine & breakdown experience
* Confined spaced & WAH - preferred
* Strong safety focus
* SAP maintenance system proficiency would be advantageous, training will be provided as required.
* First Aid, Forklift, and Elevated Work Platform certifications
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team
