We are currently seeking a Dealership Accountant to join our very busy and highly varied Accounts department based in Southport. This role would suit a qualified accountant ready to take the next step in their career. Due to the nature of this busy role, a positive attitude with a hands-on approach is required. What we are looking for: An experienced Accountant with proven skills of 2 years in a similar capacity Either CPA/CA, Accounting Degree (highly desirable) or studying towards an accounting degree Automotive Dealership background not essential, but desirable An ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment Strong communication skills both within a department and with stakeholders in the broader business Strong attention to detail and high analytical skills Advanced Excel skills What the role briefly entails: Preparation of the monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance to accounting standards Extensive Balance Sheet reconciliations Reporting & Analysis of P&L statements Assist in the statutory tax reporting namely, GST, LCT, FBT and PAYG Cash flow management Internal controls Assist in external audit preparation/requirements Manufacturer reporting Annual budgeting and forecasting Senior leader to accounts department Work on projects where necessary as directed by the Financial Controller Effective communication with Managers and employees alike from various departments Benefits of working with us: Embrace development and mentoring from your team, fostering personal and professional growth!
