What We’re Looking For We value a mix of formal training and hands-on experience. To be successful in this rewarding, multi-generational role, you will ideally have: Experience: Relevant experience in a care or support role. We particularly encourage applications from people with lived experience, and those who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Licensing: A current NSW Driver’s Licence and a willingness to drive. Safety & Compliance: * A valid First Aid & CPR Certificate. A paid Working with Children Check (WWCC). An NDIS Workers Check (NDISWC). Willingness to be listed on the Residential Care Workers Register (RCWR). Flexibility: Availability to work across a 24/7 roster, including mornings, evenings, and sleepover shifts. A Day in the Life As a Support Worker at Westhaven, your day is diverse. You will provide essential care to both adults and children, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of every individual. Your responsibilities include: Personalised Care: Assisting clients of all ages with personal care, daily living skills, and emotional support. Community Engagement: Planning and attending appointments, school activities, or social outings to foster skill development and inclusion. Mentorship: Providing a safe, nurturing environment for children while empowering adults to maintain independence. Administration: Completing daily case notes, incident reports, and essential administrative tasks. What We Offer Competitive Pay - Base rate of $34.58 – $37.73/hr, plus casual/shift loadings (SCHADS Award) and 12% super.
