Community Engagement Coordinator
The role of Community Engagement Coordinator is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for delivering social events and activities that cater to the mental health and quality of life needs of residents.
This position requires strong collaboration with the Wellbeing Manager to curate a tailored calendar of social events and experiences. The coordinator will work closely with the care team to deliver social activities, provide support during orientation and training of volunteers, and develop positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Key responsibilities include:
* Curating a comprehensive social calendar in conjunction with the Wellbeing Manager
* Collaborating with the care team to deliver engaging social activities
* Supporting volunteer orientation and training
* Developing and maintaining relationships with volunteers, residents, families, and team members
To succeed in this role, applicants should possess relevant qualifications, such as a tertiary degree in event management or a Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure). Previous experience in event coordination and aged care is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should be able to effectively communicate, build rapport, and foster positive relationships with diverse groups.
Successful applicants will also need to undergo pre-employment medical screening, police clearance, and NDIS worker's clearance checks.
