This is a world class sub-regional hospital which services a catchment population of approximately 45,000. ERH provides a comprehensive range of health services, including: emergency; medical; surgical; rehabilitation; maternity; paediatrics; urology; orthopaedics; ophthalmology; dental; chemotherapy; and haemodialysis.
The location is a vibrant tourist town with exciting cultural heritage, restaurant scene, sporting facilities, seemingly endless leisure and recreational options all within 2 ½ hours from Melbourne. Excellent preschool, primary and secondary education options are available.
The Emergency Department (ED) manages in excess of 21,000 presentations per annum. Reporting to the Director of Emergency Medicine, the Senior Medical Officer is responsible for:
* Providing high quality clinical care to emergency patients
* Ensuring patient flow is in line with National Emergency Access Targets (NEAT) and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Supervising Doctors in Training (DiTs)
* Supporting continual improvement of emergency services
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $361,987.05 – $431,879.80 per year
