This role will require you to lead the technical side of capital investment project execution and coordinate contribution of all stakeholders by managing a cross-functional team. Their objective is to replace an existing manufacturing process whilst the factory is in operation, ensuring the project budget control, communication, and installation meet site, Nestle and Australian standards. This role is temporary, until April 2024. The role is based in Smithtown.

As the Engineering Project Team Leader, you will integrate, motivate, provide feedback, coach, develop, manage, and evaluate team members and be their support and liaison with the steering committee and all the project's stakeholders. Keep the End-to-End Project Manager informed. Keep all the required communication channels open.

Responsibilities:

* You will execute the basic and detailed design of the project based on Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Nestlé standards, local regulations, the defined User Requirements Specifications and the TPM characteristics of a unit operation (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability and reliability).
* Ensure by design the workers, and operators, safety during both the construction and the ongoing operation of the plant.
* Lead the technical side of capital investment project execution and coordinate contribution of all stakeholders by managing a cross-functional team whose objective is to replace an existing manufacturing process whilst the factory is in operation.
* Ensure updating/creating of site technical drawings and documentation
* Lead the team and coordinate the contribution of all the stakeholders, to get the engineering side of the project implemented (e.g., buildings, equipment erections, piping, utilities, etc.) in accordance with the defined timing, cost and quality, the URS and the characteristics of a unit operation
* Ensure all the elements of the project (including technical people training, as needed) in such a way that safety is always guaranteed on the whole project site and a vertical start-up is assured.
* Prepare and distribute the project documentation of engineering, including the engineering part of the project final report and provide feedback to the Maintenance Prevention System.
* Assure that the investment project charter has been fulfilled.

Skills and Experiences

* You will have completed tertiary study in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent
* Have Project Management skills and experience
* Developed Analytical and budgetary skills
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the engineering field
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment
* Ability to manage a team, including the technical teams and contractors
