About the Role
This is a casual role with a fixed salary, up to 6 months.
An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated team player to join the Schools Recruitment unit as part of the People and Workplace Relations (Schools) Division at the Department of Education. To be successful in this role you will be client focused and have well developed influencing and decision making skills. Your capacity to establish and maintain collaborative relationships will be critical as well as the ability to deliver outcomes and drive change in a fast paced and complex environment.

About the Division
The Schools Workforce Group (SWG) has a lead responsibility to support the attraction and retention of teachers in Victorian government schools, provide high-quality schools HR operations, and provide policy and employee relations advice.
The Schools Workforce Group are responsible for:
* providing high-quality human resources and recruitment services to Victorian government schools
* developing school workforce supply and demand strategies and initiatives
* supporting the attraction and retention of teachers in Victorian government schools
* managing the industrial environment, and provide strategic and timely human resource advice
* providing consultancy support to principals and schools in relation to Human Resources matters.
About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
