We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Shift Manager to join our Delivery Station in Mulgrave, Melbourne. In this role, you will lead a team of associates, ensuring safe, high‑quality operations that meet customer expectations for timely deliveries.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Amazon associates.
- Maintain Health and Safety standards, promoting a culture of safety on‑site.
- Collaborate with support teams (Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources) to develop plans that meet business objectives.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives, using Lean tools.
- Excise and push, pull, squat, bend, and reach varying weights as required by the job.
A Day in the Life
You will be an inspiring leader within our Delivery Stations, continuously improving delivery processes to ensure orders are delivered accurately and efficiently. You’ll ensure workflows run smoothly and customer expectations are met – or exceeded.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
- Managerial experience with sizable teams, motivating and building strong relationships.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities, including Dive Deep analysis of complex processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Authorized to work in Australia without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Competence in managing high levels of ambiguity in a agile, fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with planning, performance metrics, process improvement and Lean or Kaizen techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Flexible to work weekends and/or shifts regularly.
