About This Role:
The Group Sales Manager (GSM) is responsible for managing and growing broadcast regional and metro sales revenue within their designated portfolio of agencies and clients. The role involves overseeing broadcast Sales Executives and Coordinators managing both Metro and Regional campaigns. The GSM works closely with the Digital GSM and Connections Planner to drive cross-screen convergent outcomes and collaborates with the broader Seven Sales teams to develop a high-performance team focused on achieving State and Network targets across SWM's screens.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate and manage local and national broadcast deals within your agency portfolio.
* Ensure revenue and share targets are met.
* Manage a clear deal book to ensure deal delivery aligns with or exceeds network trading requirements, ensuring strong yield across your portfolio.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with local agency leads and clients.
* Collaborate with State GSMs to foster a high-performance team aligned with SWM values and a #bettertogether mentality.
* Support sales team members in developing their skills, emphasizing trading excellence.
* Deliver exceptional client service, innovative solutions, and utilize all SWM assets, staying informed of market trends.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal SWM guidelines, providing regular training to your team.
* Work closely with departments such as Revenue Management, Digital, Product, Programming, Production, Central Sales, Partnerships, and Marketing to deliver optimal service.
* Maintain professionalism and courtesy internally and externally, respecting peers and office protocol.
What You Bring:
* 3-5 years of Agency (Trading) and/or TV/Digital Sales experience.
* Strong background in Broadcast and/or Digital Media.
* Experience managing agency portfolios.
* Leadership skills to build and develop a cohesive sales team.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with impact and influence.
* Thorough understanding of broadcast media trading principles.
* Ability to interpret contractual and regulatory documentation.
