Child Health Remote Area Nurse – East Arnhem Land NT
We're seeking an experienced and passionate Child Health Registered Nurse to join our remote Primary Health Care team. In this role, you'll provide high-quality child and family health services for children aged 0–17 years, working collaboratively with families, community members, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver child health programs and coordinate care for children with complex or chronic conditions.
* Provide primary health care services in line with CARPA Guidelines.
* Support, implement, and evaluate community health initiatives.
* Work across the School Clinic, Outreach, and Health Centre as required.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and data entry.
* Build strong therapeutic and culturally safe relationships with families and communities.
* Participate in a 24-hour on-call roster for emergency care when required.
* Practice autonomously, using advanced child health clinical skills.
About You
* Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including at least 2 years in child, paediatric, or adolescent health.
* Strong understanding of remote primary health care and the principles of community-based care.
* Demonstrated cultural competence and understanding of Indigenous health and social determinants.
* Willingness and capacity to live and work in a remote community.
* AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* NT Immunisation Certificate, Advanced Life Support.
* Remote Emergency Care and/or Maternity Emergency Care (or working towards).
* Mandatory Reporting training (NT).
