The Travel Coordinator role supports the delivery of efficient, safe, compliant, and effective Corporate and Patient Assisted Travel services at Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation, while balancing organisational requirements with the wellbeing of staff and patients.

This is a full-time role in Darwin or Nhulunbuy Office (accommodation is not included)

Successful applicants will have access to a range of benefits, including:

* Competitive salary of $75,380 per annum + 12% superannuation
* Ability to Salary Package up to $15,900pa plus a further $2,650pa on Meals and Entertainment

About Miwatj

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community‑Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we're committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.


Knowledge and Qualifications for Success

* An understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination.
* An understanding of the issues faced by Yolngu people living in remote settings.
* Demonstrated computer literacy, including experience in the use of computerised Patient Information and Recall Systems (preferably Communicare) and a willingness to impart those skills to others.
* Experience in a similar role organising corporate travel and/or Patient Travel services
* Knowledge of patient referrals to specialists' clinics, patient travel, medical clinic procedures and hospital systems
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a cross‑cultural environment, fostering open communication and continuous learning with a positive and innovative approach to problem solving, goal setting and self‑improvement.
