About Carlotta:
Carlotta is a distinctly Australian celebration of Mediterranean flavours and hospitality. We're channelling the generous spirit of Mediterranean dining, giving a warm and vibrant nod to the trattorias and tavernas found dotted along the European coastline. Carlotta's menu encourages shared feasting across an ever-evolving selection of antipasti, handmade pasta, and meat and seafood cooked over coals, with a custom-made wood oven from Naples taking pride of place in the kitchen.

About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a driven Junior Sommelier to join our team at Carlotta on a casual basis. You will have an unwavering passion and appreciation of wine. This is a hands-on role with focus on service delivery.
We welcome beginners with a strong interest in wine and are happy to provide training.
- Hospitality experience with a keen interest in wine
- Demonstrated experience as Sommelier in a premium restaurant highly regarded but not essential
- Passion for the wine industry
- Extensive knowledge of wine, new and old world
- Exceptional service skills and guest focused
- Experience with stock control and inventory management is advantageous
- Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
- Proven ability in building effective relationships
- Organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation
- Full time availability including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
- WSET certification or similar is highly regarded
