Overview
At Green Leaves Early Learning, we take pride in building a learning environment where children are inspired to be curious about taste and flavour. Working closely with the Centre Chef each day you can support the kitchen by preparing a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, greet families with a warm smile, provide culinary classes, maintain food safety standards, collaborate on sustainability practices, and help run kitchen operations smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Use your extraordinary culinary skills to support the Centre Chef in preparing a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees and meeting dietary requirements for babies and children.
* Greet families with a smile and impress them with barista‐made coffees and freshly baked treats (barista training provided).
* Provide thoughtful culinary classes alongside our Centre Chef and Educators.
* Ensure the highest level of food safety by maintaining a clean and safe kitchen in accordance with Food Authority requirements and Green Leaves Early Learning Standards.
* Collaborate with our National Nutritional Program partner on environmentally sustainable practices within our eco‐friendly settings.
* Combine your time‐management and communication skills to support the kitchen in running each day smoothly.

Qualifications
* Current SA Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
* Current SA Child Protection Training (or willing to obtain).
* Current HLTAID012 First Aid Certificate and CPR (or willing to obtain).
* National Child Safety Training (or willing to obtain).
* National Police Clearance obtained in the last 6 months (or willing to obtain).
* Must be available Mon to Fri 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
* Willingness to step up into the Chef's role when they are absent from the Centre from 6.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday.
