Opportunity for a Senior Contract Administrator to lead subcontract and work package contract administration on this major program of works for Defence.
The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
The project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments and a capital investment of $2 billion that will incorporate:
* Construction of new messing and living accommodation
* Construction of new training facilities
* Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
* Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Contract Administrator to lead subcontract and work package administration across the Riverina Redevelopment Program, ensuring commercial, contractual, and governance requirements are met to support the successful delivery of this major Defence project.
What you'll do
* Lead tendering, EOI, and subcontract award processes for assigned work packages.
* Manage subcontract administration, including variations, claims, payments, and securities.
* Support head contract administration and provide cost‐to‐complete forecasts.
* Maintain strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
* Coach and mentor Contract Administrators to drive consistent commercial outcomes.
What you'll bring
* 7+ years' experience in contracts administration on large construction or infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of contract risk, Security of Payment legislation, and subcontract negotiation.
* Ability to interpret and administer complex contract terms and commercial frameworks.
* Solid understanding of project financials, forecasting, and cost control.
* A proactive, detail‐focused approach with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
This role is based at Blamey Barracks Kapooka, Wagga Wagga. Relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate if required. Applicants must be Australian citizens and willing to obtain a security clearance.
