Felons is currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the team who values quality, sustainability and collaboration. We offer homely, wholesome and uncomplicated dishes with locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities include :
* Assist the Head Chef in the planning of menus, recipe writing and sourcing new products
* Effectively leading, training and mentoring your team
* Prepare food in line with quality and presentation standards
* Plan, organise and control day to day operations of the kitchen for optimum functioning
* Ensure the quality control and portion consistency of food served are maintained in line with business volumes
* Monitor stock levels and place orders accordingly
* Ensure highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment are always maintained
About you :
* Previous experience working in a similar role
* A sound knowledge of a broad range of food preparation and cooking equipment
* Experience leading large teams
* Demonstrated culinary flair and genuine passion for the industry
* Undeniable pride for creating and delivering consistent, high quality produce
* Flexibility and availability to work across a rotating roster
