Finance Expert Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

* Partner with the Finance Director to refine financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and uphold compliance, driving efficiency and alignment with corporate policies.
* Oversee and perform accounting, statutory and management reporting, as well as FP&A activities for ANZ entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance relative regulatory requirements (ANZ GAAP & IFRS).
* Contribute to financial strategy development, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strong financial governance.
* Analyse and project financial data, turning insights into actionable recommendations for operational and executive decision-making.
* Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to manage audits and ensure compliance with corporate tax, GST, payroll tax, and all other statutory obligations across ANZ.
* Work closely with global finance teams to enhance transparency, streamline processes, and strengthen cross-border collaboration.
* Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation to support intra-group transactions in line with local legislation.
* Adapt responsibilities and priorities as the Finance Department's structure and strategic direction evolve.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
* Chartered Accountant (CA) designation or equivalent professional qualification is essential.
* Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience, including team management.
* Familiarity with NetSuite ERP is highly advantageous.
* Experience in financial consolidation will be well regarded.
* Exposure to the FMCG sector and/or multinational environments preferred.
* Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to cultivate and sustain productive partnerships.
* Skilled in prioritising and delegating tasks to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
* High standards of integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
* Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
