CB&I is seeking an experienced and passionate project-based Project Engineer to support a tank construction project at Karratha, Western Australia with CB&I Australia Pty. Ltd.We are looking for a motivated and versatile Project Engineer for this exciting opportunity, reporting to the Project Manager. The successful candidate will be assigned to the project site in Karratha and will work on a FIFO roster (20 days ON and 8 days OFF). This is a dynamic, hands on and fast paced role where no 2 days are the same! The role may, at times, serve as the Supervisor / Lead -Operations on site.ResponsibilitiesFormulating and coordinating of project planning, including contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones.Delivery of the various engineering, construction, purchasing, scheduling, and start-up aspects of a project.Responsible for supporting construction progress on site including personnel, equipment, subcontractors, tools and supplies.Ensure that items are installed as per latest project specifications and drawings, meeting quality, cost and time constraints.Monitor progress and schedule performance, and identify problems in respect to budget schedules, engineering standards, working directly with Project Controls.Investigate and follow-up on technical queries with the technical services groups.Identify and interpret material specifications and provide technical support to supply chain to support project schedules.Ensure work undertaken complies with scope and meets operational requirements. Obtain appropriate approvals of and documenting calculations, specifications, variations etc.Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Programs, such as Lessons Learned and other programs which support achievement of quality and project goals.Providing technical support and guidance to field crew and supervision during all project phases, to ensure that project designs meet operational requirements and specified engineering standards.Skills and QualificationsDegree qualified with minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Project Engineering or Construction Management.Storage Vessel/Tank experience is highly desirableA proactive problem solver and a team player with a positive attitude who embraces every challenge, big or small.Ability to communicate at all levels of the project organization.Must have good organization and prioritization skillsAdaptability and agility to learn and contribute within varying and complex environments.
