Market Manager
Introduction to team
Travel Partnerships and Media (TPM) helps partners including hotels, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs), and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply, our advertising and travel media network, and affiliate solutions.
The Market Manager role is part of the Market Management team within Expedia Group's TPM division. The team ensures that global travelers find the most suitable properties for their trips and that hotel partners can reach Expedia Group's broad global demand.
The primary responsibility of the Market Manager is to develop and maintain a high-quality portfolio of relevant, attractive, and competitive hotel and property products for Expedia Group's expanding global traveler base. The role involves working with lodging partners within an assigned territory to maximize marketplace potential.
In this role, you will:
* Develop and sustain strategic partnerships by providing data insights and consulting services to hotel partners, including revenue management advice, marketing opportunities, and content optimization.
* Ensure partner hotels' products (content, rates, and availability) are optimized on Expedia Group sites to maximize customer conversion.
* Secure additional lodging rates and availability during high demand periods to meet traveler needs.
* Secure seasonal deals and promotions to support merchandising and marketing efforts.
* Promote high engagement with Expedia Group's tools and services, including market insights, revenue management tools (Rev+), marketing opportunities, and self-service tools (Expedia Partner Central).
* Represent Expedia Group in assigned markets and build relationships with local influencers (e.g., tourism bureaus, hotel associations).
* Collaborate with internal teams to implement business initiatives and drive market strategy.
* Provide coaching and support to colleagues and partners on best practices.
* Conduct self-learning to improve skills and influence.
* Lead internal projects as needed.
* Achieve KPIs and strategic objectives.
* Support hotel partners in delivering optimal traveler experiences and promote self-service tools.
* Travel 20-30% of the time for partner visits.
Experience and Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of experience in account management, partner success, sales, or related fields.
* Proficiency in English.
* Passion for travel.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
* Interest in innovative technology, data-driven decision-making, and fast-changing environments.
* Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
* Effective follow-up and communication skills.
* Analytical skills for market trends, partner performance, and competitor analysis.
* Ability to demonstrate the value of partnering with Expedia Group.
