Western Plant Hire is seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to support our Finance and Procurement teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude to contribute to a growing business.

About the Role


As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth financial and administrative operations. You'll assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, support procurement activities, and maintain accurate records using our ERP system. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork.


Key Responsibilities

* Assist with Accounts Payable and Receivable processing, reconciliations, and payment runs.
* Provide finance support across the business, including month-end tasks.
* Support the Procurement Officer with purchasing, stores, and dispatch activities.
* Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management.
* Utilise the ERP system for finance and procurement transactions.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and take on additional tasks as directed.


About You

* Certificate IV in Accounting/Bookkeeping or relevant experience.
* Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with [insert system name] highly regarded).
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
