About The Role
As Spare Parts Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the Parts Department. Your focus will be on parts sales, inventory control, administration, and team leadership—ensuring alignment with the broader business strategy.
You will act as an ambassador for South Nowra Auto Group and its brands, building strong relationships with internal departments, trade partners, and retail customers while driving continuous improvement across the department.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and direction to the Parts Department team
• Align department sales activities with the broader business plan
• Monitor and report on sales performance against targets, including variance analysis and forecasting
• Manage revenue, margins, and expenses, initiating corrective action where required
• Monitor competitor activity, campaigns, and product strategies to maximise market share
• Build and maintain strong customer loyalty and long-term relationships
• Oversee accurate parts identification and catalogue consultation
• Manage storage, stock control, inventory, and materials handling procedures
• Receive, process, and fulfil parts orders efficiently
• Prepare invoices and organise dispatch of parts
• Maintain front counter displays to a high standard
• Support the Service Department by assisting customers and answering phones when required
• Perform additional duties as required, aligned with your skills, training, and experience
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience as a Spare Parts Manager or Senior Parts Interpreter (automotive industry desirable)
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills
• Sound understanding of parts sales, inventory management, and financial performance
• Ability to analyse data, report on results, and drive improvements
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with dealership management systems
• Proactive, hands-on leadership style
