The Learning Specialist Role is a key position in our school community, focused on improving educational outcomes for students through expert teaching and learning practice.
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced educator who can demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning, with a deep understanding of high-quality teaching methods and strategies.
As a Learning Specialist, you will work closely with the school leadership team to develop and implement whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
You will also be responsible for modelling and leading the implementation of these strategies, as well as providing evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform their effectiveness and development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice
* Model exemplary classroom practice, including through teaching demonstration lessons
* Develop and lead whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery
* Provide evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform their effectiveness and development
* Supervise and train one or more student teachers and mentors/coaches other teachers
Requirements:
* Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching
* Demonstrated expertise in high-quality teaching and learning practices
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to model behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values
