Based out of our Rocklea site, **The Depot Inventory Controller **will be responsible for ensuring the lowest possible inventory levels are held to achieve agreed customer DIFOT, by ensuring there is one harmonised process nationally across the depot network for managing inventory that is understood and used by relevant stakeholders.
The Depot Inventory Controller provides functional leadership and direction for inventory management processes by educating stakeholders and monitoring and continually improving processes.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
- Ensure all inventory is managed within agreed targets for OME, Finished Goods and Quarantined stock. 
- Functional responsibility for supporting sites in performing receiving, inventory control tasks and discrepancy resolution, leading to highest standards in inventory accuracy and operations excellence. 
- Ensure all stock is in the correct locations throughout the warehouse and is accurately recorded in SAP. 
- Inventory accuracy is maintained in line with agreed policy and procedures. 
- Make to Stock (MTS) management (review and update sales forecast quarterly) 
- Review and maintain Stock Authority Forms for agreed MTS materials. 
- Proactively investigate and resolve any stock anomalies in a timely fashion. 
- Provide relevant stock and usage history data to Sales for aged stock to enable a timely review and disposition. 
- Ensure product integrity and stock accuracy is maintained at or above target levels.

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have; 
- APICS Qualification Desirable 
- Bachelor's degree desirable; preferably in the are of Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or other quantitative business discipline. 
- At least 5 years supply chain and inventory management experience in large organisation with a high SKU and customer environment 
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems 
- Ability to negotiate and influence sales team members on matter of process and performance 
- Excellent communication and presentation skills 
- Excellent analytical skills 
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
