SO4 is pioneering the development of Western Australia's first Potassium Sulphate operation. With our first product successfully delivered and operations ramping up, we are entering an exciting phase of growth. To reach nameplate capacity, we are undertaking further development and expansion capital works, and we need skilled and driven professionals to help deliver this next stage.
We're seeking a Senior Mine Surveyor to take ownership of survey operations across our unique, sustainability-led potash project.
This is a high-impact, site-based leadership role on a consistent 4:3 FIFO roster from Perth, reporting into the Operations Superintendent. You'll lead all surveying functions across the mine, plant, bore field, and infrastructure footprint — playing a pivotal role in both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic development.
If you're ready to step into a role where your expertise shapes project outcomes, guides junior professionals, and influences broader operational strategy, this is it.

* Provide strategic input into mine planning, design, and development
* Build and maintain accurate mine plans, models, and survey datasets
* Oversee implementation of advanced technologies — including UAV, LiDAR, and GPS systems
* Ensure statutory compliance and reporting (incl. Section 26 responsibilities)
* Deliver spatial data and analysis that support decision-making across engineering, production, and infrastructure teams
* Drive continuous improvement in survey methods, safety, and efficiency
* Mentor, coach, and develop junior surveyors and cross-functional team members
* Represent the survey discipline in operational meetings and project planning
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced mining professional with deep technical knowledge, proven leadership capability, and a strong track record of delivering high-precision work in dynamic environments.
You bring:
* 5+ years' experience in mine surveying, including leadership or supervisory roles
* Recognised Degree or Diploma in Surveying
* Advanced proficiency in industry tools (AutoCAD, Surpac, Vulcan, ArcGIS)
* Strong working knowledge of Excel and the MS Office suite
* Drone pilot accreditation, White Card, and WA C Class Driver's Licence
* Section 26 statutory compliance
* Experience in remote operations and large-scale mine infrastructure
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across functions
* Strategic thinking and the ability to align technical outcomes with broader business goals
* Project management capability
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
* Permanent full-time role on a consistent 4:3 FIFO roster
* Competitive salary + salary packaging options (FIFO travel, parking, etc.)
* 8 weeks paid parental leave
* EAP access + wellness app
* High-impact, senior position in a progressive mining company
* Be part of a tight-knit, values-driven team
* Real career progression in a project that's setting new industry standards
