Myriota is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer to help shape the future of satellite-connected IoT devices. We're revolutionizing connectivity with cutting-edge direct-to-satellite technology, making a significant impact in key sectors like agriculture, environmental monitoring, transport, logistics, maritime, and defense.

The incredible prospect:

We’re looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to develop cutting-edge embedded solutions that power our global platform.

How you will drive success:

- Embedded Software Development : Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for IoT modules, silicon and devices with a focus on satellite IoT connectivity.
- IoT Protocol Implementation : Implement and optimise IoT communication protocols with a focus on reliability and low power consumption.
- Device Integration : Integrate IoT firmware with IoT hardware components, including microcontrollers, communication modules and external communications networks.
- Firmware Updates : Knowledge of over the air firmware update systems.
- Testing and Validation : Create and conduct verification and validation tests to ensure reliability, performance, and security of IoT systems.
- Documentation : Create and maintain documentation, including specifications, APIs and user guides.
- Security : Implement security specification to protect IoT devices and IoT data using encryption, authentication and OS hardening.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud network engineers, hardware engineers, system architects, and product managers, to define requirements, engage in peer reviews, and ensure project delivery.

What we value in you:

- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience working with embedded Linux and Linux shell scripting or with microcontroller-based embedded systems.
- Previous exposure and engagement in the full product lifecycle.
- Keen to work in a fast paced start-up ecosystem.
- Experience in the following is desirable but not essential: IoT or wireless communication development, familiarity with IoT platforms, knowledge of IoT security practices, and skills in wireless communication modules, radio technologies, firmware development, and open-source projects.
