About Xestro
Xestro is Australia's largest cloud-only provider of medical practice management software, based in Maroochydore. We support thousands of private medical specialist practices around Australia. In real clinics, reliable hardware and device setups matter just as much as software.
The role
You will join our Support team with a primary focus on client-side hardware and device integration issues. You'll work from our Maroochydore office providing remote support to practices nationally, and you'll coordinate with the client's on-site IT provider when hands-on action is required.
Secondary to hardware support, you will assist with onboarding logistics for new clients migrating from other systems: coordinating data exports and uploads with client IT and, as capacity allows, helping our internal team with routine, scripted steps in established conversion processes (not conversion design or complex mapping).
What you'll do
* Troubleshoot practice hardware and peripherals: printers, scanners, label printers, multi-function devices, barcode scanners
* Support mixed environments: Macs and Windows PCs, drivers, print queues, scanning utilities, permissions, connectivity
* Work with client on-site IT providers and vendors to complete and verify on-site fixes
* Assist onboarding migrations by coordinating data exports and uploads (hand-off to the conversion team)
* Keep clear ticket notes: what was tested, what changed, and what resolved the issue
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 2+ years of IT support experience required (helpdesk, managed services provider, computer repair, retail tech bench, or similar)
* Comfortable with hardware troubleshooting and office device ecosystems
* Calm, methodical problem-solver who can guide non-technical users through steps clearly
* Able to collaborate effectively with third-party IT providers
* No specific qualifications required: capability and judgement matter more than certificates
* Valid work visa or Australian work rights required
How to apply
Send your resume and a short note covering:
* A tricky printer/scanner or device issue you resolved end-to-end
* Your experience supporting users remotely and working with on-site IT providers
