About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and strategic commercial finance professional to join our team as aCommercial Finance Business Partner. As our business grows this role is integral to supporting our expansion. You will work closely with our commercial teams, production, operations, and supply chain, providing financial insights and analysis to drive informed decision-making and business strategy. Your contributions will be key in fostering a culture of accountability and ensuring that both tactical and strategic decisions are grounded in solid data.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will also serve as the primary financial contact, trusted advisor and enabler to the Leadership Team, providing critical analysis, commercial insights, and strategic recommendations. You will also challenge assumptions, ensuring alignment between management’s goals and the company’s broader strategy.
Your key responsibilities will be but are not limited to:
Business Planning & Performance Management
Build forecasting models tailored to business needs, incorporating past, present, and future trends.
Own and present performance reports, budgets, and forecasts to key stakeholders, identifying and communicating risks and opportunities.
Lead the annual financial planning process and routine forecasting to ensure high-quality business planning across revenue, costs, and CAPEX.
Support business case development and provide commercial evaluations for key initiatives.
Strategic Insights & Analysis
Provide financial insights based on an understanding of the brand, market, competitive landscape, and new market segments and contribute to strengthening business strategies.
Create analytical models to evaluate various business scenarios and support strategic alignment.
Collaborate closely with the commercial teams to conduct customer and product profitability analysis to drive business performance.
Drive the implementation of business intelligence (BI) tools and software to analyse and explain business processes.
Stakeholder Partnering & Engagement
Partner with key stakeholders and procurement teams on supplier negotiations and contract management.
Improve financial performance reporting and work with business teams to enhance forecasting accuracy.
Develop strategies and influence the internal stakeholders to improve financial capabilities while responding to emerging issues, opportunities, and trends.
Act as the primary financial contact for the Leadership Team, translating financial data into actionable insights to guide business decisions.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in a complex Pharma or Manufacturing environment. You are agile, inquisitive, and highly focused on driving business success. As a genuine business partner, you will build strong relationships across the business, providing valuable insights and supporting decision-making. Technically astute, you will have a proven track record of enhancing management and performance reporting through efficient systems and reporting tools.
It is essential that you have:
Proven business partnering skills
Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise
Competency with data tools including Power BI and ERP systems
Experience in producing forecasts and budgets for a business division
Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and influence key stakeholders
Strong data analysis skills to develop meaningful commercial insights
Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with experience working with non-financial stakeholders
Strong commercial acumen
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
