Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Mining Engineer: Underground Production to join the Underground team at the Tropicana Gold Mine. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, the role coordinates production drilling and stoping activities related to drilling and blasting to achieve schedule targets. The role is offered on an 8 days on / 6 days off FIFO roster, with direct flights provided to site from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.
Responsibilities
* Act as a safety leader in line with company values, policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with contracting partners to ensure compliance with the mining plan.
* Complete stope drill designs, charge plans and reconciliations to meet business requirements.
* Ensure production excellence by participating in QA/QC activities for blasting.
* Develop slot raising designs, remote plans and void management plans in line with site procedures.
* Demonstate active field leadership through regular underground inspections.
* Provide mentorship to graduates.
* Lead business objectives and project initiatives.
* Contribute to business improvement initiatives.
* Ensure the health and safety of underground workers through detailed and accurate technical plans in line with the WHS Act and Regulations.
Qualifications
* A degree in Mining Engineering.
* Previous experience in underground production activities.
* Effective time management and decision‐making skills.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Existing permanent working rights in Australia.
* A Western Australian "C" Class Driver's Licence (manual required).
* The ability to obtain a new National Police Clearance.
* The ability to obtain a Dangerous Goods Licence.
