About the Position
The Senior Construction Manager will oversee and direct the execution of construction projects on site, coordinating and managing the activities of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
1. Oversee and manage the construction process, including coordinating and directing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
2. Ensure project deliverables are met within specified timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
3. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards or violations.
4. Manage conflicts between stakeholders involved in the project.
5. Promote transparency and accountability by maintaining accurate records of progress, costs, and quality control measures.
6. Cultivate effective relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.
7. Identify and address any issues or problems that arise during the construction process.
8. Evaluate and verify that all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and permits.
9. Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment.
To be successful in this critical role, you must have:
* Delivered civil packages of work, specifically on water infrastructure projects or similar.
* Hold trade qualifications.
* Proven supervisory experience on large-scale projects exceeding $50M.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
* Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
* Able to integrate into a diverse team.
