Ventia is seeking experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Team Leaders to join our hospitality and catering team in Darwin, NT. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys leading diverse teams while delivering high-quality service.
In this role, you’ll take the lead across busy breakfast, lunch and dinner services, as well as large-scale functions during peak periods. You’ll be a key presence on the floor supporting, motivating and developing your team while ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for Defence personnel on base.

Your key responsibilities:
* Lead, coach and motivate a team of Food & Beverage Attendants to deliver consistently high service standards
* Oversee daily hospitality operations, including meals, beverages and functions for Defence personnel
* Create a warm, professional and welcoming environment through strong customer engagement
* Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately and confidently
* Maintain cleanliness, safety and hygiene standards across kitchen and dining areas
* Assist with stock control and inventory management
* Train, support and develop team members, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture
What you will bring:
* Proven leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with a natural ability to lead by example
* Background in hospitality or catering (preferred but not essential)
* Basic computer skills, including experience with online rostering systems
* A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
Eligibility requirements:
To be successful, you must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. This requires:
* Australian Citizenship
* Willingness to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check
