What you'll be doing
As a Rotational Pharmacist, you will deliver high quality pharmaceutical care across clinical and production services, supporting safe, effective and patient centred care. This part time role is primarily based at Mount Druitt Hospital, with rotation across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals as required to meet service needs.
* Dispense and distribute medications accurately and safely in line with NSW Health policy
* Deliver clinical pharmacy services including medication reconciliation, review and discharge processes
* Counsel patients and provide medication education, medication aids and medilists
* Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary care and quality use of medicines initiatives
* Work two days per week, with days negotiated at interview and aligned to hospital service requirements

Essential Criteria:
* Full AHPRA registration without restrictions. Grade 2 placements will be made in accordance with award criteria only.
Selection Criteria:
* Must demonstrate good knowledge of therapeutics and clinical pharmacy practice.
* Must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and have the skills to build and maintain cooperative relationships.
* Must have a demonstrated understanding of how pharmacists promote and contribute to the quality use of medicines, with experience in hospital practice.
* Must be able to participate in on call, weekend and public holiday work as required.
