What else we are looking for:
- Operations experience in Removals, Road Transport, Storage or Logistics
- Forklift licence (or a willingness to acquire one)
- Willingness to learn and enthusiasm to grow your career
- Demonstration of developing sound operational understanding a willingness to learn how to juggle labour requirements, inventory, equipment, warehousing, purchasing etc
- You understand people and show enthusiasm to invest in their development and training

**About the Role**:
Customer Service is our priority and is the driving force behind our vision and values. With more and more people relocating across the country and the globe, our teams are working harder than ever. This recently created Position Description will provide 'up and coming' Operations people with an opportunity to learn Branch Operations Management from someone with years of Removals Management experience. Providing Operational support to the Branch Manager this position will assist the Branch Manager with the careful planning and scheduling of all employee and vehicle daily programming for local, interstate, and international removals. Communicating with clients and general operational administration staff you will also take on responsibility for the safe operations within the Warehouse, including checking safety of operational equipment. If your dream is to leave a legacy, then this is the place to do it.
This is a role that you can get your teeth into for all the right reasons with safety, people management, process improvement and WMS utilisation as the top priorities. Under the guidance of an experienced Branch Manager who themselves are keen to pay it forward and invest in the next generation of leaders.
Some of what you will learn and will be undertaking:
- Achieving personal, as well as operational team targets and KPIs
- Leading, coaching, mentoring, and managing your operational team to provide exceptional customer service and positive outcomes
- Working with managers and team members to identify opportunities for improvement, creating action plans and receiving commitments to ensure outcomes/results are achieved
- To control the activities of Operations in a cost-effective manner.
- To oversee efficient employee and vehicle daily programming for local, interstate, and international removals.
- To ensure that all relevant systems and documentation are accurate, precise, and complete, within the WMS
- To ensure briefing and debriefing of crews occur in a timely manner
- Learning to manage operational service delivery issues to resolution
- Participating in Operational duties to cover staff and work with the team
