Senior Project Accountant
to support complex, high-value projects across their Australian operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with project teams and driving financial performance.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a critical role in providing end-to-end financial support across multiple projects. You will act as a trusted business partner to project managers, offering clear financial insights, robust controls, and accurate reporting to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver accurate project financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Manage project budgets, cost control, and cash flow forecasting
* Partner with Project Managers to track performance, risks, and opportunities
* Prepare monthly management reports and project dashboards
* Support revenue recognition and project accounting in line with accounting standards
* Assist with project setup, governance, and financial controls
* Contribute to continuous improvement of project accounting processes and systems
* Support audits and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
About You
* CA / CPA qualified (or near completion)
* Proven experience in a Senior Project Accountant or similar role
* Strong background in project-based or contract accounting environments
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems highly regarded
* Strong attention to detail with a commercial, solution-focused mindset
