ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Federal Government Department to source an experienced Mental Health Professional for a Clinical Senior Information Services role, providing support to veteran services. This is initially a 12 month contract at an APS6 level. The occupant will have a strong clinical background and experience in working within mental health settings and ideally have experience in clinical incident reviews.
The role requires a strong clinical background, attention to detail and high-level writing skills and will take carriage of monitoring, writing and analysing of Clinical Incident Reviews, including meeting timeframes for completion. The role also provides support to the Clinical Information Management section more broadly in the areas of information releases, continuous quality improvement, data management and other relevant priorities to support the national operations.
Duties:
* Preparing well written and considered Clinical Incident Reviews, reports, and responses to clinical incident notifications and sensitive matters in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures.
* Analyse relevant information and identify factors that contribute to the client's suicidal distress reflecting the principles of a no blame culture.
* Working across multiple systems to complete Clinical Incident Reviews. This includes the review and collation of sensitive client information and preparing documents with high levels of attention to detail.
* Be required to undertake work that is complex in nature, work under limited direction with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability.
* Provide support to the Assistant Director in organising and managing the Clinical Panel and the Clinical Incident Review meeting.
* Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, the development and review of policy advice and governance arrangements.
* Strong demonstrated experience in managing risk in mental health settings, including the ability to identify risks associated with clinical information with identified sensitivities.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Qualifications as a registered Psychologist / Mental Health Occupational Therapist / Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, OR
* Qualification as a Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association Social Workers (AASW) on commencement OR
* A Masters-level counselling qualification and registration with PACFA as a Registered Clinical Counsellor or with ACA at Level 3 or Level 4
* Minimum of five years' experience working in mental health settings
* Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance must be obtained prior to commencement.
* As this role is within a Federal Government department it is a required to be an Australian Citizen at time of commencement
