Job Description:
Fairvale Public School is a leading educational institution located in South Western Sydney. The school serves the inner area of Fairfield City, catering to students with diverse backgrounds and needs. The current enrolment stands at 502 students, comprising a significant proportion of students from language backgrounds other than English. The position available is that of a Teacher (Special Education) – Full-time, with one position available. This role will be based in Fairvale Public School, which is part of the Principal Network: Fairfield.
Key Responsibilities:
* To teach special education and/or experience/willingness to teach students with a variety of disabilities including autism, sensory impairments, communication need and behaviour difficulties
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team and build positive relationships with all students, staff, parents, external agencies, and members of the wider community
* Ability to develop and deliver differentiated learning experiences to students with complex learning needs, with a focus on improving student outcomes
* Evidence of strong classroom management strategies and wellbeing programmes, which enhance student engagement and development of social skills
Required Skills and Qualifications:
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement for this position. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Applicants must demonstrate evidence of their teaching qualifications and experience in special education.
Benefits:
This role offers a competitive remuneration package valued at up to $156,000. The base salary ranges from $90,000 to $137,000, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.
