What To ExpectWe are seeking a Logistics Yard Coordinator to oversee management of the Perth logistics yard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of yard operations, including facilities management, vehicle movements, maintaining accurate inventory control, and personnel supervision within agreed timeframes whilst balancing costs & service.
The role will be responsible for communicating with multiple departments and third parties while managing a large volume of vehicles on site.A key aspect of this role is ensuring the safety and security of the yard, personnel, and cargo, through the development and implementation of effective safety protocols and security measures.
This role requires being on your feet and working outdoors in all weather conditions for a significant portion of each day.What You\'ll DoOptimise space utilisation and workflow efficiency.Act as a dedicated point of contact for logistic activities to both internal and external stakeholdersSupervise and maintain a team of yard personnel ensuring that all personnel are properly trained and equipped to perform their dutiesWork closely with 2PL and 3PL vendors, to ensure seamless integration of yard operations and overall business operations.Ensure Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), First Aid and other company documentation and equipment is relevant and up to date, in consultation with the EHS & Security team.Monitor, record, and report damage claims to relevant stakeholders.Analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions quickly.Work closely with the Tesla Logistics team, on site and remotely, to plan and track the shipment of vehiclesDevelop collaborative relationships and communicate relevant information across all levels of the organisation and 3PL partners.Work within a Transport Management System to book vehicle transport and maintain data integrity when necessary.When required, provide support and guidance to other logistics roles within the Australia & Current Zealand region.Ensure the warehouse and yard are maintained, kept clean and organised, and coordinate with various organisations for any works on the siteWhat You\'ll BringProven experience in yard management or facilities management preferred.Computer/mobile phone-savvy with an ability to work with in-house logistics software(s)Be able to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work with little supervision but within a team environmentFirst Aid training would be advantageous but not essentialGood physical fitness- large amount of walking required, for a large portion of each day, in all weather conditionsMust hold a full local Driver Licence with an excellent and safe driving historyAdministrative and automotive experience required
