For the past year, we've been secretly building the YouTube channels of some of Australia's top podcasts. Now, we're taking it public.
The Role
We're looking for Australia's most talented YouTube video editor. You'll work across a mixture of long‐form podcasts and dedicated YouTube videos for creators. This is retention editing at the highest level – you keep viewers watching, you make the cut feel effortless, and you do it fast. If you obsess over retention curves and motion graphics in equal measure, this is for you.
What You'll Do
* Edit long‐form podcasts and dedicated YouTube videos that hold attention from the first frame to the last.
* Apply retention editing techniques – pacing, cuts, b‐roll, and hooks that keep watch time climbing.
* Build strong motion graphics that elevate the content and reinforce the brand.
* Work at velocity – deliver high‐quality edits fast, because speed matters here.
* Collaborate with strategists and creators to bring each video's vision to life.
* Stay ahead of YouTube trends, formats, and editing styles that drive growth.
You'll Smash This Role If You
* Have at least 3 years editing specifically for YouTube.
* Can show videos you've edited that hit 50k+ views and contributed to channel growth above 50k subscribers.
* Are a retention‐editing specialist – you understand why people keep watching.
* Have strong motion graphics capabilities – not just cuts, but craft.
* Bring creativity at velocity – fast and excellent, not one or the other.
* Don't need hand‐holding – you own a project and get it done.
* Care about quality and will fight for it – mediocre doesn't fly here.
