Overview
Community Housing Limited (CHL) is a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making a positive impact in the housing sector. We address housing issues and support vulnerable populations by offering affordable and sustainable housing solutions. CHL manages over 11,000 new and existing properties across various communities and aims to deliver high-quality service and outcomes.
The Roles
We are filling two part‐time (0.6 FTE) roles: one permanent and one 6‐month maximum term. You will deliver high‐quality tenancy and property management, including property inspections, allocations of vacant properties, rental collection and arrears management, condition reports, coordinating lease and rent reviews, and carrying out exit procedures.
As a Housing Officer, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders including government departments, the Asset Management Unit, clients, and relevant support agencies. There may be occasions where you represent CHL at hearings. You will perform administrative tasks such as reporting, addressing complaints, complying with requirements, and maintaining accurate property and tenancy data in required systems.

Essential Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in providing client‐focused tenancy management services.
* Solid understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act.
* Relevant skills and experience in working sensitively with a diverse customer group with complex needs, including those in housing crisis.
* Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders including vulnerable people.
* Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature.
* Previous experience working with MS Office programs.
* Ability to compose professional correspondence via email to internal and external stakeholders.
* A current driver's license.
Desirable
* Previous experience working in the social/community housing industry.
