Are you a qualified Electrician or Fitter with underground experience who enjoys variety, problem‐solving and working directly with customers? H.B.T. is expanding our Field Service team and we're looking for a safety‐focused technician to support our equipment across underground mining operations.
This role offers a mix of autonomy, technical challenge, site interaction, and the opportunity to become a specialist in high‐performance longwall equipment.

About the Role
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide technical support to our customers both onsite and remotely. You'll ensure H.B.T. equipment performs reliably through maintenance, troubleshooting, audits, data analysis and operator training.
In this role, you will:
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and commissioning
* Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, including breakdown support
* Participate in or lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations
* Prepare parts, tooling and documentation for service activities
* Conduct health checks, inspections and lifecycle audits
* Analyse equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities
* Prepare high‐quality reports and condition summaries
* Deliver training to longwall personnel on equipment use and maintenance
* Build strong customer relationships and identify future service needs
* This role suits someone who enjoys working hands‐on, travelling to mine sites, and taking ownership of technical outcomes.
About You:
Certificate III Electrical or Mechanical Fitter trade
Certificate IV or above (highly regarded) Coal Board Medical (desirable) Experience with high‐performance machinery Experience with H.B.T. equipment (highly regarded)
