About the Role
This role involves partnering with residents to promote their functional abilities, encouraging them to use and develop skills in ways that are personally meaningful. The successful candidate will work closely with the allied health team to support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote the physical and emotional well-being of residents through engagement in meaningful daily activities
* Work closely with allied health professionals to support residents' functional abilities
* Foster a person-centred approach to care, respecting the unique needs and preferences of each resident
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A commitment to providing customer-centric care
* Completion of Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent accredited training
* Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
* Strong understanding of person-centred principles and ability to engage people in meaningful activity
* Previous experience working with people with dementia
