Opportunity
With a strong pipeline of exciting projects, Dematic is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. Based in Belrose, this role will support key projects delivering advanced automated solutions for warehousing and distribution centres.
This fast paced and influential role, responsible for projects & suppliers quality excellence including quality compliance, is ideally suited to a skilled Quality professional, Quality Engineer or Project Quality with expertise encompassing:
* Quality systems implementation according to ISO9001 standards in project and manufacturing environments.
* Quality management in multiple projects; design, supplier & project execution quality.
* Product Metrology & Qualifications methodologies.
* Process Audits & Continuous Improvements.
Responsibilities
* Develop end-to-end Project Quality Plans with stakeholders, aligning company standards with quality objectives and processes.
* Collaborate with project teams, identifying potential quality risks & opportunities and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Conduct inspections, testing, and verification activities.
* Collaborate with project stakeholders to manage non-conformities and implement RCA/CAPA.
* Review design documentation, identifying and resolving potential quality issues.
* Lead procurement quality processes (PPAP, FAT, audits) to support supplier selection.
* Coordinate site quality inspections with project & service providers.
* Conduct site inspections ensuring installations meet design specifications and quality requirements.
* Organise and complete supplier products, subcontractors, QMS & company project process audits.
* Generate regular reports on project quality performance.
* Analyse cost of quality and non-conformances to drive RCA, improvement plans and communications.
* Plan and deliver quality training for project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Develop and improve QMS policies, procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
* 5 years minimum experience in a similar Quality role.
* Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field (e.g. Quality, Manufacturing, Technology, Science or Trades).
* Background in projects, manufacturing and/or construction industries.
* Comprehensive working knowledge & experience with suppliers & subcontractors in Quality practices.
* Extensive expertise in quality issues investigations & root cause methodologies.
* Knowledge in Continuous Improvement techniques and tools.
* Demonstrated strong application and promotion of Risk management principles.
* Excellent communication skills.
* High attention to detail, proactive and organised.
* Cert 4 in Training and Assessment (highly regarded).
* Work Health and Safety experience.
* Advanced skills with MS Applications (e.g. Excel, Projects, Power Apps, Power Bi).
* Willingness to travel when required across ANZ.
* Australian Work Rights: PR / Citizenship.
