The role of Solid Waste Supervisor is crucial in the management of our solid waste services. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to take up this challenging position in Devonport, Australia.
* Coordinate with drivers and allocate tasks efficiently, conduct regular performance reviews and troubleshoot operational issues.
This position involves maintaining fleet coordination, ensuring maintenance schedules are met, and proper purchasing processes with approved suppliers. This ensures smooth day-to-day operations and optimal resource utilization.
Responsibilities
* Oversee quarantine and controlled waste operations including collections, disposal documentation, compliance audits, customer liaison, sampling coordination, and disposal applications.
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements as per company policy. Identify and report any unsafe conditions promptly.
* Prepare reports using Google Suite, monitor divisional expenditure, and maintain fleet coordination with maintenance schedules.
Additional Responsibilities
* Coordinate training and inductions for new drivers, ensure they are properly trained and documented, and facilitate monthly safety meetings.
* Develop and implement effective strategies to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.
