About The Role
Reporting to the Store Operations & Capital Procurement team, this role supports Category Managers with analytical requirements in developing Category strategies across Energy, Resource Recovery, Manufacturing, and Milk Sites.
Responsibilities include maintaining the Initiative Tracker, Contract Repository, and Initiative Folders, tracking benefits, supporting endorsement and approval processes, and providing analytical and operational support for strategic sourcing, SRM, contract performance management, reporting, and other procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), should-cost, commodities management, benchmarking, and other analyses to enable better decision-making and supplier management.
Identify opportunities to leverage value or mitigate risks from market changes (e.g., technology developments, supplier consolidation).
Support Category Managers in deriving insights from data sets and market intelligence sources.
Develop and manage the Value pipeline, recording and reporting on the performance (value and efficiency) of initiatives.
Communicate and collaborate regularly with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of business requirements for third-party goods and services.
About You and Your Skills
The ideal candidate will have previous procurement or commercial management experience, with deep value chain management knowledge, including seeking value beyond savings through efficiency and technology benefits.
You should also have:
Tertiary qualification, preferably in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Law, or Property.
Proficiency in Ariba, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and e-procurement systems.
Understanding of Australian contract law related to the purchase and supply of goods and services.
Enthusiasm and skills to develop TCO models incorporating cost dimensions and risk analysis.
