Responsibilities
Reporting to the Media & Public Relations Manager this 12 month parental leave contract will facilitate impactful engagements that raise awareness and inspire action to support MSF Australia and New Zealand’s organisation objectives across brand, fundraising, recruitment, advocacy and awareness.
Managing a part time Events specialist, you will coordinate MSF’s representation at events, manage speaker requests, foster stakeholder relationships and provide training to support speakers. Your accountabilities will include hosting events, create internal newsletters, budget management, reporting as well as developing continuous process improvement and providing input for community engagement strategies.
Collaborating closely with internal and global MSF communications teams you will manage annual events calendars that facilitate meaningful interaction with key audiences.
What you will bring
To be successful in this impactful role you will enjoy networking and have a flair for moderating events. Ideally you will be motivated by working in a humanitarian aid organisation and can demonstrate:
* Experience in public engagements preferably within the not-for-profit sector
* Proven experience in presentation design and delivery, and a confidence with public speaking
* Budget management and financial tracking experience.
* Strong organisational skills for multitasking and meeting deadlines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Project management
* Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
