We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Safety & Training Advisor to join our dynamic team.
The Role/ Responsibilities:
* Developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure compliance with legislative and company standards.
* Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective control measures.
* Providing expert HSE advice, training, and support to site personnel, fostering a strong safety culture across all operations.
* Leading incident investigations, conducting root cause analysis, and overseeing the implementation of corrective actions.
* Monitoring HSE performance, facilitating toolbox talks and safety inductions, and collaborating with project teams to proactively manage risks.
* Maintaining accurate HSE records and engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and client representatives, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
* 5+ years of HSE experience in a civil construction or mining environment.
* Tertiary qualification in WHS, OHS, or similar (essential).
* Cert IV in Training & Assessing (preferred).
* Strong knowledge of safety management systems, risk management, and behavioural safety.
* In-depth understanding of WHS legislation, standards, and injury management.
* High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
* Eager to grow, take on feedback, and enhance knowledge through training.
