Locum Senior Podiatrist – High Risk Foot Clinic
Upto $85.55 per hour + super (more for ABN).
Accommodation available + up to $500 towards travel.
ASAP until 27 February. This role is based in the Wide Bay region, at the High Risk Foot Clinic. Preferable to have your own vehicle for exploring outside of work, but not essential.
High Risk Foot Service provides outpatient and ambulatory services to patients, supporting avoidable admissions and community‑based care.
Responsibilities
* Expertise and skills in clinical podiatry, especially treatment of the high risk foot, ambulatory and community‑based care, and wound management.
* Application of evidence‑based principles to podiatry clinical services across the continuum of care with limited clinical practice supervision.
* Provide podiatry clinical services of a complex nature where established principles, procedures and methods require expansion, adaptation or modification.
* Competent professional and client communication skills, providing advice regarding service delivery direction and improvement opportunities.
* Commitment to substantial relevant professional development, research and continuous learning to ensure progression of individual clinical standards.
* High‑level communication, negotiation and consultative skills, working within a multidisciplinary team from medical, nursing and allied health, and with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Utilise information technology.
* Advise professional and operational leaders regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
* Registered podiatrist with experience in high‑risk foot care and wound management.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Strong communication and consultation skills.
* Competency in using relevant IT systems.
Location: Tourist hotspot renowned for whale watching, water sports, iconic beaches and islands, within driving distance of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
