Job summary: Flexible hours available
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Contract Bookkeeper to support our growing operations. We run two small businesses in Melbourne — one in real estate photography and the other in property management — and require ongoing bookkeeping assistance for 1 to 2 days per month.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts receivable/payable
- Prepare monthly financial reports (due by the 15th of the following month)
- Support end-of-month and year-end processes
- Process monthly payroll
- Lodge IAS and BAS
- Manage quarterly superannuation contributions
About You
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role (contract or part-time)
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll and tax compliance
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ready to start immediately
