The Role
Working closely with teams and clients, you will help bring architectural concepts to life. By considering both aesthetics and functionality, you will be responsible for designing and planning buildings and structures.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out sketch design work
* Carrying out work associated with preparing Architectural Planning application submissions
* Undertake Urban Design and Master planning tasks
* Carrying out Site Analysis and Site Context Analysis
* Comprehension of project brief needs and objectives, scope vs fee structure
* Efficient management of the project team, including delegating tasks where appropriate
* Liaising with and coordinating the various requirements and activities of Clients, Consultants, local Councils, and authorities
* Relating designs to relevant codes, BCA, and local council requirements
* Ability to work across all phases of development including Feasibility, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Town Planning and Construction Administration
Skills and Expertise
* Registered Architect in Queensland
* 5+ years' experience working in Architecture
* Knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and planning ordinances
* Experience effectively leading small teams of 3 to 6 people
* Ability to balance 2 to 3 projects at a time
* Exceptional communication skills – visual, verbal and written
* Intermediate visualisation skills using Photoshop and InDesign
* Experience with ArchiCAD highly regarded, other CAD software experience considered
