ABOUT THE ROLE
The Participation & Competition Lead – Barkly & Tennant Creek is responsible for participation and administration of the Barkly Football League (Seniors, Youth and Junior Competitions) as well as supporting the promotion and development of the game in the region.
DAY IN THE LIFE
* Preparation and Management of the BAFL Match Day operations
* Develop and execute participation plan for Barkly Region
* Manage the development of Junior/Youth pathways for the region
* Ensure the competition is administered in line with the National Policies Handbook and BAFL By‐Laws
* Manage relationships between the AFLNT, League and Club presidents and other key stakeholders
* Drive recruitment and retention of Umpiring in the region
* Coordinate match staff duties and rostering
* Other projects as directed by the Club and Competitions Manager – Central Australia
* Assist in preparing information that will assist the media department with media releases related to the region and competition
* Compile data and information for participation reporting
* Support all Competitions Leads to ensure consistency in operations and management of competitions in the NT
* Work closely with Game Development and Remote teams to ensure a sustainable future for all competitions, clubs, and communities in the Barkly region
* Support and contribute to the success of the broader team

* Well‐developed interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
* Satisfactory Working with Children Check
* NT Driver's Licence
